Golden Ratio

The golden ratio is an interesting thing to study by designers. The golden ratio is the ratio made in accordance with a Fibonacci number (Fibonacci is an Italian scientist, 1175-1250) and applied to design ratio. The Fibonacci number is a sequence from 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and forth which have same ratio pattern.

The row is near to 1:1,628 or called golden ratio.

The golden ratio can visualize into simple shapes like square, triangle, and circle.

The golden ratio can visualize into simple shapes like square, triangle, and circle. Golden ratio principle is simple, not so difficult, especially in website page layout. This is an example of a logo made by Mostafa Amin.

Logo making by golden ratio principle above is using the golden ratio circle to make Converse logo. Then, name and logo placing was seen by its ratio comparison. So, it will result in continuity and balance. The lesson about the golden ratio is very interesting but it is not really simple.
