Making Circle Vintage Logo Using Adobe Illustrator CC
Today, the vintage logo is a trend. The vintage logo looks eye-catching. No surprise that this style becomes a trend now. In this article, I will share the method to make a vintage logo using Adobe Illustrator CC.
Firstly, open Adobe Illustrator CC and set your artboard to 2000 x 2000 pixels.
Second, make a circle by circle tools (click and hold rectangle tools about 2 second).
Then, make a circle while hold “Shift” button and positioning in the centre by using the Align menu at toolbar or click Windows – Align.
The next step is making a flat ribbon using rectangle tool about a half circle.
You can also use “free transform tools” to transform the angle of the ribbon. Click a point on the right side or left of the box. Then, drag the cursor up or down.
Then, make a duplicate of the diagonal line by pressing Alt + Click while dragging the mouse to the right side. After that, change the ribbon tail size as your wish.
Next, move the ribbon behind the circle. In order to make the ribbon looks real, click right > Align > Send to Back. You can also press “Shift+Ctrl+[“.
Duplicate the ribbon tail using the previous step. Then, type a sentence you want to place to the ribbon. Click and hold Type Tool about 2 second and select Type on Path.
Don’t forget to duplicate the ribbon box because the box will be used as letter area. So, you have to make a duplicate in order to keep the ribbon seen. Click on the ribbon box by the tools and when you type a letter, it appears outside the box.
To set the letter inside the box click on “Type” at the toolbar and click Type > type on a path > Type on a Path Options then set as your wish. Proceed with Skew and Flip at checklist (click preview to see the changed). Don’t forget to click OK.
Set the font size until fit to the ribbon.
Make the ribbon tail looks real by creating a sharp cut. Make a selection and add point using pen tool at the line in the ribbon tail.
Pull the point by direct selection tool (shortcut A) inside. Do the same technique to another side.
The logo is almost done. Now, add everything you want. For example, a circle inside the circle by duplicates using Ctrl+ C and Ctrl+ V.
Click right > Send to Backward behind the ribbon.
Set the stroke at the toolbar to 40.
Expand the circle to separate between the line and circle inside at toolbar menu by click “Object > expand”. Then, ungroup by click right object > Ungroup. Select the circle inside, then minimize and change the colour to black.
Add zigzag effect in the outside circle by press menu “effect > distort and transform > Zigzag”.
Then, set as your need.
Finish. It’s easy to do that. Isn’t it? Then, make the logo looks real using the other effects like grunge.
